Karen Irwin’s solid experience, sharp eye for detail and customer service skills benefit the event co. clients with dynamic and constructive special events. Karen has been organizing and executing special events for non-profit and corporate organizations since 1992. She began her career planning donor events at Wolf Trap Farm Park for the Performing Arts and fundraisers for Challenger Center for Space Science Education. Moving from non-profit into the agency arena, Karen then worked as an account executive at Hayes, Domenici & Nunn, a public relations and event planning firm where she was responsible for organizing high-profile D.C. events such as a Presidential inaugural party, fundraisers and embassy dinners with senior level government officials. Prior to starting the event co. in 1999, Karen worked at Discovery Communications as Government Relations Manager, tasked with producing events that educated legislators and regulators about Discovery’s products and services.
A native to the D.C. metro area, Karen Irwin lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband and two children. She graduated from Virginia Tech.
